Upstream Vertical Bar Screen – BioScreen BV

Equipment for the automatic screening of urban and industrial wastewater.

Vue 3D du dégrilleur vertical Amont BioScreen BV Biotrade pour le dégrillage automatique des eaux usées urbaines et industrielles

The BioScreen BV is an automatic vertical bar screen designed for the treatment of urban and industrial wastewater.

The effluent enters the screen through a channel or a pumping station, then passes through a bar screen that retains particles and suspended matter. The screenings are then collected by a bucket, which lifts them and discharges them upstream of the screen for removal.

Designed to adapt to different site configurations, the BioScreen BV offers a reliable, robust and easy-to-operate solution, with no submerged mechanical or electrical components.

BIOTRADE offers several vertical screen configurations depending on the inlet flow rate, the required bar spacing and installation constraints.

The BioScreen BV is particularly suitable for installations requiring compact, vertical equipment that is easy to maintain.

What is the difference between the BioScreen BV and the BioScreen DS?

The BioScreen BV is a vertical bar screen where the bucket discharges the screenings upstream of the screen, on the influent side. The BioScreen DS discharges the screenings downstream, on the outlet side. The choice depends on the site layout and the flow path of the screenings.

Can the BioScreen BV be installed in a pumping station?

Yes, the BioScreen BV can be installed either in a civil engineering channel or in a circular pumping station.

Are there any mechanical components in contact with wastewater?

No, the BioScreen BV has no submerged mechanical or electrical components, which greatly simplifies maintenance.

What bar spacing is available?

The bar spacing is available from 3 mm to 50 mm, depending on the type of effluent and the required filtration level.

Can the BioScreen BV be adapted to a custom channel?

Yes, the height of the equipment is custom-made in several removable sections. This makes transport, installation and adaptation to different depths easier.
