BioScreen DC Curved Screen

Equipment for the automatic screening of municipal and industrial wastewater.

BioScreen DC BIOTRADE, dégrilleur courbe automatique pour eaux usées urbaines et industrielles

The BioScreen DC is an automatic curved screen designed for the treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater.

The effluent passes through a curved screen that retains suspended solids on its surface. The screen is cleaned by a rake and scraper mounted at the end of rotating arms.

The screenings are then discharged at the rear of the equipment and collected in a removable perforated basket, a discharge chute, or a conveying and compacting system, depending on the selected configuration.

The BioScreen DC curved screen is designed for new or existing installations, without specific civil engineering constraints.

It can be installed directly in a channel or integrated into a watertight stainless steel tank allowing direct connection to pipework.

  • Channel installation: suitable for existing or new structures.
  • Stainless steel tank installation: watertight solution allowing direct pipe connection.
  • Automatic cleaning: ensured by rotating arms, stainless steel rake and HDPE scraper.
  • Welded stainless steel structure in 304 or 316L stainless steel.
  • Screen made of curved bars.
  • Screening gap from 3 to 50 mm, depending on requirements.
  • Accepted flow rates up to 2,000 m³/h.
  • Double scraper arm with stainless steel rake and HDPE scraper.
  • Horizontal position stop sensor.
  • No submerged mechanical or electrical components.
  • Design compliant with CE standards.

The BioScreen DC provides screening from 3 to 50 mm and accepts flow rates of up to 2,000 m³/h. Its 304 or 316L stainless steel design allows it to adapt to municipal and industrial environments.

Does the BioScreen DC require modification of the existing civil engineering structure?

No, the BioScreen DC is designed to be installed without specific civil engineering requirements. It can be installed directly in an existing channel or in a watertight stainless steel tank connected to pipework.

Which screening gap should be selected?

The screening gap can be adjusted from 3 mm to 50 mm, depending on the required screening fineness and the type of effluent.

What is the maximum accepted flow rate?

The BioScreen DC accepts flow rates of up to 2,000 m³/h, depending on the model.

Why choose four scraper arms instead of two?

The four-scraper-arm option increases scraping capacity and the screen cleaning frequency. It is recommended for effluents with a high suspended solids load.

Is there a version for direct pipe connection?

Yes, the BioScreen DC is available in a 304L or 316L stainless steel tank version, with inlet and outlet flanges. An integrated bypass option with a fixed screen is also available.
