Screw Screen – BioScreen TV

Screw Screen for the pre-treatment of municipal or industrial effluents, available in concrete channel or stainless steel tank version, with or without screenings compaction

Tamis à vis en caisson inox Biotrade installé sur chantier avec vis compacteuse inclinée, motoréducteur bleu et réseau de tuyauteries

The BIOTRADE BioScreen TV screw screen is a pre-treatment solution suitable for municipal and industrial effluents. It filters out solids present in wastewater and ensures their separation prior to downstream treatment stages.

Depending on the application, two versions are available: one designed for direct installation in a concrete channel, and another integrated into a stainless steel housing with inlet and outlet flanges for the effluent. For both configurations, BIOTRADE offers versions with or without compaction of the screenings.

  • Industrial effluents: suitable particularly for the food processing and pharmaceutical industries for filtering solid and organic residues.
  • Municipal effluents: suitable for wastewater treatment plants for separating solid matter from wastewater.

The BioScreen TV range includes several models, from the TV 200 to the TV 700. Sizing depends on the chosen mesh size, the flow rate to be treated, and the site configuration.

  • 304L or 316L stainless steel structure.
  • Shaftless screw made of high-strength steel.
  • Filtering section with round-perforated mesh or Johnson-type screen.
  • Brushes bolted to the screw for cleaning the filtering zone.
  • Compaction zone spray bar with solenoid valve.
  • Available with or without screenings compaction.
  • Inclination: 35° to 48°.
  • Johnson-type mesh: 0.25 to 3 mm.
  • Perforated round-hole mesh: 5 to 7 mm.
  • Available models: TV 200 to TV 700.
  • Flow rate varies by model and mesh size; up to 1,000 m³/h.

What is the difference between Johnson mesh and round perforated mesh?

Johnson-type mesh provides finer filtration, from 0.25 to 3 mm, with high hydraulic capacity. Round perforated mesh is used for coarser filtration, from 3 to 7 mm, with greater mechanical strength.

Is the BioScreen TV suitable for agri-food effluents?

Yes, the BioScreen TV is particularly suitable for effluents from the agri-food and pharmaceutical industries, which contain high loads of organic matter and fine particles.

How is maintenance carried out?

The entire unit pivots to provide full access to the filtering section. The cleaning brushes are bolted onto the screw and can be easily replaced.

Does the existing channel need to be modified?

No, the BioScreen TV can be installed without modifying the existing channel. A stainless steel tank version is also available for off-channel installation, with connection flanges.
