Fine and Medium Bubble Diffusers

Submerged aerators connected to a blower for the oxygenation and mixing of urban or industrial wastewater.

Ensemble de diffuseurs fines et moyennes bulles Biotrade pour l'aération immergée des eaux usées urbaines et industrielles

BIOTRADE designs and manufactures in France a complete range of fine-bubble diffusers and associated aeration grids/frames for efficient oxygenation of wastewater.

BIOTRADE diffusers, fine and medium bubble, are designed to oxygenate and mix wastewater in treatment basins. Compressed air is injected into air headers, then released through diffusers, tubes, discs or panels positioned at the bottom of the basin. The bubbles rise to the surface, ensuring oxygen transfer to micro-organisms and homogenisation of the basin.

Our solutions are suitable for all types of basins, whether new or under rehabilitation, and provide optimal energy efficiency.

BIOTRADE fabrique les diffuseurs Type B et propose une gamme complète de diffuseurs fines et moyennes bulles pour répondre à tous les besoins :

BIOTRADE also supplies all types of connectors, allowing adaptation to different air headers.

Aeration grids

  • Structure :
    • 304L/316L stainless steel feed pipe, DN 80/100.
    • Square air header, 80×80 to 150×150 mm, or round air header, DN 80/100/150, ballasted in stainless steel.
  • Standard components:
    • Automatic return drain valve.
    • DN 20 tapping point for formic acid cleaning.
    • Stainless steel lifting cable + ring/shackle, for removable aeration grids.

Aeration frames

  • Composition :
    • Ballasted 304L/316L stainless steel frame, 100×100 mm.
  • Benefits :
    • Stackable design. Simple installation.

  • Lifting beam certificate.
  • Wall-mounted lifting beam support.
  • Remote drain-opening control.
  • Tube lifting system.

Can the aeration grids be adapted to existing basins?

Yes, the aeration grids can be installed in all types of basins. Removable models also make maintenance operations easier.

What are the manufacturing lead times?

Lead times are 8 to 12 weeks for aeration grids and frames, after drawing approval. For diffusers, delivery time depends on the model and current stock availability.

What performance standards are applied?

Oxygenation tests are carried out according to the NF EN 12255-15 standard, ensuring accurate and comparable results. The transfer coefficient of fine-bubble diffusers is measured with an accuracy of plus or minus 5%.

Are there any constraints to consider when installing diffusers?

Yes. For channel-type basins, a minimum effluent velocity of 0.3 m/s is required to avoid deposits and ensure good homogenisation.
