The BIOTRADE polymer preparation system enables inline preparation of polymer in emulsion form.
The pure emulsion is dosed using a variable-flow progressing cavity pump. It is then injected into the dilution water to obtain a prepared and homogeneous polymer solution.
The dilution water flow rate is adjustable via a motorised valve controlled by a vortex flow meter. This operating principle makes it possible to adapt the dilution flow rate and the polymer solution concentration according to the requirements of the installation.
The prepared polymer can then be sent to one or two injection points, particularly as a complement to a sludge dewatering unit such as a screw press.
Model
The BIOTRADE polymer preparation system is designed for the inline preparation of a diluted polymer solution with flow rates from 600 to 3,000 L/h.
Based on a consumption of 10 kg of active matter per tonne of dry solids, this unit can meet the requirements of dewatering installations treating from 30 to 680 kg DS/h.
Composition
- Structure: stainless steel structure.
- Regulation: pressure regulator, motorised solenoid valve and vortex flow meter.
- Dosing: progressing cavity pump for dosing the pure emulsion.
- Injection: non-return valve for injecting the polymer into the dilution water.
- Mixing: dynamic mixer followed by a static mixer to homogenise the prepared solution.
- Distribution: manual valves allowing the prepared polymer to be injected towards one or two injection points.
- Control: dosing pot for monitoring the preparation process.
